Midway

Our lives don't really affect anyone or anything else, right?  As long as we keep a positive attitude, we can do whatever we want or need to, and everything will work out.

But, wait a minute...

The Dawn of Central Banking

This article handily describes, with great, clear writing, how the Federal Reserve Act originated the central banks of the modern world.  This creation of private banks which handle government debt has given rise to the "kings" of industry and the enormous wealth gap of today.

Some of the Dharma

The nature of reality, that is, the nature of Nature, or God, is EMERGENT.  That is to say, it is constantly evolving, flowing, changing, and growing.

We tend to rally around the sayings of dead people to support our fear-based decisions and cling to traditions.  Traditions are great for parties.

Traditions should not be confused with Wisdom.  Wisdom is the application of emergent-thinking to contemporary problems.  It is "meta;" it contains inherent within it the philosophy that the nature of all things is impermanence.

The solution of contemporary problems comes with Human Innovation and Technology when Wisdom is applied.  In other words, we use the insights of wisdom to peer into a problem in order to find its root, and address it with innovation and technology.

Technology is not to be confused as meaning just cell phones or computers.  Technology is pencil and paper, medicine, machines; it is any applied idea.

NNA is a philosophy which seeks emergent thinking and innovative solutions to modern challenges. NNA is not a "movement," like Zeitgeist or Zero Population Growth.  There is no extremism or profound ideology to NNA, other than this:  we are now, as we are always becoming, the new people on Earth; we are its new "natives," and as such, its stewards.

NNA is emerging as a comprehensive philosophy which only requires personal application in order to "work."  It is about loosening the ligature of the personal fears we have which cause us to cling to outdated ideas and static behavior.  It is a process of freeing oneself and reclaiming one's true personal freedom; not the illusory freedoms many of us today guard so vehemently.

In the center of NNA is the absolute truth that we do not need to cling to the things of the past in order to be safe.  We learn from them and move on.  At the heart of NNA is a loving bond with all people and the bounty and blessings of the Earth.

This is not hippie mumbo-jumbo.  We are scientists, leaders, writers, therapists, technicians, inventors, artists, designers, teachers, and parents.  We are not a cult.  There is no membership.  There are no requirements.

If you feel something within yourself, something coming from a deep and knowing place that suggests to you that our present, troubled existence is an opportunity to embrace the emergence of reality, and that all things are possible in order to make a bright future, then you have all that you need to move forward.  Welcome.

The Book

Hello, happy wanderer.  Welcome to the site for our writing of the book "The New Native American."

TNNA is an ecopsychology book, or, a book about you and the world.  It encompasses all the usual suspects - climate change, sustainability, noise-air-light-water pollution, the internet & artificial intelligence, the media, politics, the natural world, religion, sports - the whole gamut, including the money-market system behind it all.

TNNA is also a book about you, your human experience, and what lies ahead of and behind you.  Together, we will explore some of the ways in which the First Americans and other hunter-gatherer societies lived with the Earth - what their "ecopsychology" was like - and how we can learn from it.  And how we, for better or worse, having both inherited and grown this country of ours, have become its new stewards and must reacquaint ourselves with the practice of "giving back" in order to shape a tenable future.

In short, TNNA is a book about the psycho-spiritual compass settings required to navigate the world to come, and the deeper, more sensual and reciprocal ways to live on the planet in the present moment.

We expect it to be finished sometime in 2014.  Until then, keep an eye out on the interwebs for talk of the movement that inspires TNNA.  It is everywhere.  Like the matrix, it is all around you...
